Inaccurate urine test?

Hello!

First off, thank you for all the conributers to this forum. The information you provide is priceless.

About 2 months ago I met up with another man. I had met him in the past, and we speak fairly regularly. He had told me he was tested recently, and clear of all STDs. He performed oral sex on me for a couple of minutes, before I decided to leave. The encounter was brief and my penis never touched his throat (not sure if this makes a difference).

Fast- forward 2 weeks from then, and I notice clear discharge at the tip of my penis in the morning. Normally I would think this was pre-cum, but I do not recall being aroused prior to it. I notice it a few times during the day, but most times I need to “milk” it out. There are no stains on my boxers.

I go see my doctor and ask for a full STD screening, which included a first catch urine test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea.

I follow the instructions carefully and make sure not to urinate two hours prior to the test, but now I am questioning if I did something that could alter the results. Right before urinating, I noticed some lint on the top of my penis. I used my boxers to dab it off, and then urinated into the first cup. I am worried that in removing the lint, I also removed some of the clear discharge. Do you think this would impact the results resulting in a false negative? Or would there be enough bacteria still in the urethra to render the results accurate?
I noticed most instructions don’t mention cleaning the generals, but I did notice some test that specifically say not to clean the genital area. This was a dab (no water or anything was used), but I still worry I removed something that should have been tested.

Thanks for your time - my anxiety is driving me crazy.

That urine test would be fine - they are very very reliable and ora lsex is low risk anyway. Even more so for the short time you did it for.

Speak to your doctor about prostatitis. Very common in men and causes the symptom you describe :)
