Too coincidental not to be herpes?

So about 3.5 years ago I somewhat promiscuous and a but careless sleeping with more than one girl unprotected. I got screened between and was always clean.

I then got into a long term relationship and everything was fine. I did however have a reoccurring lump on my penis. I never thought it was anything other than a shaving rash so never thought too much about it it to think back to when it started or what it was like. We split up about two months ago and I met someone else, the first time we had sex I had one of these lumps. To explain the lump seems to be under the surface of the skin and is pretty hard. I was icing it and it would go solid and then doign got compresses to try and get rid of it as I thought it was sebum from researching. It went down enough that it just looked red and we had unprotected sex for the first time. After that it got a little bigger again and I was able to squeeze some **** like a spot out. Then it scabbed and healed, the only time it was sore was after the sex and it wasn't too bad just the firctiin I am guessing.

Anyway the girl then asks a few weeks later if it definitely not herpes as she had a rash. I saw that and it definitely looks like herpes, she didn't go to the doctor in time to test the sores. It was nothing like i get and I've hunted through hundreds of photos and mine doesn't seem to look like any herpes pictures. I went to the GUM clinic and they won't do a blood test andbtheybtook a look at what is now a bit of a scar on my penis. They said don't worry that they won't test as I've not got any symptoms like herpes and that here's may of been laying dormant or because it was self diagnosed it may not be heroes and to continue as normal (I am a lot safer these days and was expecting this to be another long term relationship).

I have spoken to my ex who is in the medical profession who said that neither of us had any symptoms the whole time we were together and tontry not to worry. But it seems way to coincidental to me not to worry and to be tested.

Would it be possible my ex was also infected but showed no signs so we had a normal sex life not knowing?

Thanks

Do I need to be telling any prospective part ers I may have herpes? As I've said it does seem very coincidental that I had a bump on my penish and then the wan I slept with then had what appears to be a first outbreak 20 days after. Thanks

Hi what your describing doesnot appear as herpes but more of a cyst. Herpes are topical painfull blisters. They are not under the surface and when a blister does appear it pops open and spreads the virus to the surronding area where multple blisters appear.

I think it may of been open and sore for about a day and I have read that some people miss the blister stage as it can happen quickly. I was able to poke a pin in it while it was still a red bump and got some stuff out. Would herpes be too sore to do this?

It just seems really coincidental that a girl has her first breakout in the average time after sleeping with me with a bump on my penis? And that it is reoccurring.

Thanks for your intial reply
