general itching 4 days after protected sex

Guys thanks for all the time taken to respond.

My exposure was sex with new partner. i use a condom most of the time (slip off for a few strokes 3-4 most but put it back on). I know I tested a couple of months back for most stds including hiv and ALL are neg. (did not do herpes test)

she claimed that her last time was 2 mo ago and had no symptoms at the time we were together.

My problem is that i got generalized itching in pelvic area. i do not have a localized area of itch. Also i got this red dot on the skin and i went to the clinic for them to look at it and 2 practitioners that look at it agreed that it was a follice they did not even question that...

So my question is what can i use for the itching? should i be worried about any other std (due to the red mark)??? Should i contact this person for her to get tested for anything??

It could be the fungal infection has spread, but I would still get it checked with your doc.

Are you still using the cream?  If you are getting new sores, then you should check with your doc.

Yes, folliculitis can act like that.  Herpes sores wouldn't.

I went to the doctor and confirmed folliculitis. He gave me some cream.

i got only one question/concern:

today the lesson popped and looked like a pimple after being popped. left some blood that's it. it itch and upon inspection i noticed that it had popped. can folliculitis pop open like this?

I had the bump for about 10 days now.

Herpes sores are ON the skin.

This sounds like it could be folliculitis, and since you seem to be having a tricky time getting rid of it, you should follow up with your doc.

I got a final question.

I got this red spot (size of a pencil eraser on my pubic skin) It seem to have develop (over  a day) into a hair follicle (hair coming out of it and a tip sort of a volcano) but the base is really red and big compared to other hair follicle that I've had. it has been there for about 5 days now the same. i feel like a small bump when i touch it. should i get it checked? does it sound like anything i should worry about?

I've read that herpes is a IN the skin type rather than ON the skin from the forums is that true?

thanks aj. I'd say i had not posted if the itching did not bother me. also i got this constant slight burning feeling (has not increase not decrease)

i had tested before being with her. so I will ask her to get tested. then if symptoms persist i'll go to the doc.

Thanks by the way. you and grace are virtual to this forum. specially when most PCP doctors know little to nothing about std.

If you have tested recently for gon-chla-syph (I like that, by the way), then you don't need to retest, unless you've had a new exposure.

And why not ask her to test?  Its a good idea for people to know their status, in any case.

since I know i'm neg (from recent test and no exposures) should she be tested for anything at this pt.?

OR should i wait and see if any other symptoms develop and then see if she gets tested.

thanks aj.

It could be anxiety.

the practitioner told me to use a shampoo for it but i lost the name. she taught it was some kind of lice or something.

also if persists what kind of test should i have?  gon-chla-syph?

Folliculitis can cause itching, as can a fungal infection, etc.

Maybe its anxiety?

If it persists, follow up with your provider for testing.
