Long Term Symptoms, Still No Clue

Roughly a year ago I slept with a woman (which I regretted immediately) unprotected. Alcohol was involved and she mentioned that, with tubes tied, a condom was unnecessary, and I bought it, sadly. I do recall after the encounter that she had vaginitis, through sufficient amounts of white threads which I can only assume were bacteria on my genitals afterwards.

I was later diagnosed with Chlamydia, and treated, and everything was fine for a short time.

Unfortunately some symptoms reappeared (after no sexual contact with anyone).

Mucus in the back of the throat.
Pain in my epididymis.
Very small amount of penile discharge.
Light burning occasionally during urination.
Rectum occasionally became extremely itchy.

I've since had myself checked for chlamydia and gonorrhea among other things, and everything has come back negative.

I've taken azithromycin more than once (out of frustration).
Later took 6 weeks worth of 100mg doxycycline.
I'm currently on a month of Levofloxacin, out of further frustration even from my doctor.

The symptoms persist in light forms, except for the mucus in the back of the throat which remains consistant.
I've checked (and had checked) my prostate which shows no signs of inflammation.

I'm stumped, frustrated, and really hope to find out what I truly have... Any help would be appreciated.

Mucus in the back of the throat - not a std symptom.

Pain in my epididymis - usually not std related though many other infections can cause this. if it's just random pains, nothing to worry about. if it's constant pain, see an urologist.

Very small amount of penile discharge - you've been treated and examined many times now. doesn't sound std related at all.

Light burning occasionally during urination - only happens occassionally so probably not an issue. avoid caffeine, alcohol and spicy foods - they can all be triggers and cause it.

Rectum occasionally became extremely itchy - probably not std related either. usually this is irritation though it can be fungal.

Yes, they were prescribed, self treating is indeed a bad idea!

Hi Stumped82,

You have been treated of Chlamydia and tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia, so it is apparent that you are free from gonorrhea and chlamydia.
Symptoms that you described do not sound like symptoms of STDs, especially with the lack of discharge from your penis. If the symptoms are bothering you, you can get a doctor's evaluation.
And, those antibiotics that you have taken, were they prescribed by a doctor? Just a piece of advice, do not self-treat. Taking antibiotics without prescription can cause drugs-resistance.
