Losing erection during sex

Hi, everyone hope all is well. My situation is bizarre and I do not no what to do. I had safe sex a couple of months ago with a middle aged African women I met while she was shopping and then went to her flat. We had sex and it was protected, so condom was used at all times.

For the last 3 time I have tried to have sex with my partner, I keep losing my erection during intercourse. So it goes in normal and hard but then after a few minutes, I just lose the erection whilst inside which has never happened. I am 34 years old and this is really stressing me out.

Can this be sti/std related? Are there any stds that affect erections.

Appreciate the help guys. Many thanks.

No, there is no STD with this symptom. Are you having any other symptoms - any issues with your urine stream? Pain with urination? Pain in your testicles?

Many times, issues with erections are psychological - are you feeling anxious? Guilty?

You had condom-protected sex, so while there is still a risk for herpes, syphilis and HPV, the risk is very small, and none of those would affect your erections.

I have absolutely no symptoms at all.  Thanks for replying so quickly.
Well, then it seems like it might be psychological. If it continues to happen, for sure get it checked out to rule out physical causes - that's always step 1. Erectile dysfunction can sometimes be the first sign of other problems, like heart disease, even if you are young, fit and seemingly healthy.

If no physical causes are found, then I'd suggest counseling.

Take care.
Thank you
