Massage parlor HJ now I’m afraid of std’s

Hello, I’m a male and about two weeks ago I went to a massage parlor and to my surprise I ended up receiving a hand job. It was just her hand and massage oil for lube. There was no other sex at all. There was no vaginal secretions or saliva used. I checked her hands and didn’t see anything but it was in a dim room. I have had a intermittent burning sensation and redness at the tip of my penis for about a week. Does Not burn when I urinate. No discharge, no lesions, maybe possibly small bumps in the redness at the tip of my penis but it’s really hard to tell if it’s just my regular skin or bumps. No other pain anywhere else. About 2 days ago I started to feel swollen lymph nodes in my throat and have felt a slight headache here and there. At 9 days I was tested at my city health department for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, and trich. Trich was a swab of the urethra and results were negative under a microscope. No white or red blood cells were detected. I haven’t received the results back for the rest. The health department nurse said I had no risk of exposure but couldn’t explain the redness.

My questions are:
1. Can I get any other stds from this contact? HPV, Herpes, etc? Can I get anything at all from this?
2. Should I test for Herpes? What kind of test?
3. What is causing my penis tip redness and irritation? It wasn’t like that directly afterwards and took a couple days to develop. Can anxiety cause redness and irritation? Can std symptoms develop that quickly, 2-4 days?
4. Was testing at 9 days pointless?
5. What’s the best type of testing for Trich and HIV
6. Should I retest at a later date?
7. Are the swollen lymph nodes connected to this? HIV, Herpes?

You had no risk for any STD from this encounter. I'll include links at the end to help explain why.

3. What is causing my penis tip redness and irritation? It wasn’t like that directly afterwards and took a couple days to develop. Can anxiety cause redness and irritation? Can std symptoms develop that quickly, 2-4 days?

The oil might have caused irritation, or it's anxiety that is causing you to check a lot, causing more irritation.

STD symptoms can develop at 2-4 days, with 2 days being the earliest, but you had no risk. You've also tested negative for white and red blood cells, indicating there is no infection.

Are you anxious because you went outside of a relationship? Another reason? Remember that guilt does not equal risk.

Thank you for a quick reply. I have read the links and thank you very much for them. I have some follow up questions.

1. If I had no risk from this encounter then why are there so many articles saying that you can get std’s from hand jobs?

2. If it is indeed irritation from the oil and not an infection why does it persist so long?

3. What happened to the Medical Experts? Are there none here anymore?

Again, thank you for the links and responses.

I don't know what articles you've read, so I can't address those, but some like to address all theoretical risks, not practical ones. In theory, you could win the lottery the same day you are struck by lightning after being hit by a bus after winning the Super Bowl, but really, is that going to happen?

2. If it is indeed irritation from the oil and not an infection why does it persist so long?

I don't know. I don't know that it's the oil. You say it's intermittent. My guess is that it's anxiety because if it was truly an STD or some other infection, the symptoms would be constant, not intermittent. Intermittent suggests it's there when you are focused on it.

3. What happened to the Medical Experts? Are there none here anymore?

We had doctors on our site for a number of years, and several years ago, MedHelp was acquired by another company, and due to regulatory something or other, that had to stop, unfortunately. I don't know all the details.
