Missed Dose?

All,

if one was taking a 7 day dose of Doxy for clamydia treatment but missed the 4th day (AM/PM doses) but carried on as normal the following day for all remainder of the prescription (days 4, 5, 6 & 7), could this be an issue?

Thanks - symptoms weirdly still persist (worse than before).

have ordered a re-test but I'm curious if Doxy did not clear the infection is there a next line? conscious of it now being resistant.

It's probably not resistant after one round of treatment. They may give you azithromycin, or try another round of doxy.

Is there a chance you're reinfected? Have you had sex? Sex with someone who hasn't been treated yet?
Does Azith still work?

No I have not...my only symptom is burning AFTER urinating...never during?
Yes, it still works, depending on where you live. Some areas are showing more resistance than others.

Try increasing your water intake. You may have some irritation or dehydration. If the burning is really bad though, for sure follow up with your doctor.

You're probably fine, but make sure you go back in a few weeks for a follow up test to make sure it's cured.

If you have sex in the meantime, definitely use condoms.
