Oral Sex

I gave oral sex to a co worker no ejaculation occured and I didnt notice any sores on him around two months ago, within a couple of days I had what I thought was a cold sore on my top lip, I do suffer from coldsores so wasnt to bothered, 6 weeks later I developed a blotchy red rash on my face that was feint, but after a shower was very pronounced. I have had headaches which lasted around a week around a month after the contact,
So what is the time scale for syphilis infection, what is the testing procedure and does it sound like I may have it

Yes it is.
48 hours for syphilis...no way, not going to happen.

the odds of this being a syphilis canker are too low to even think twice about.

Thanks Grace, but I'am getting my test done for free on the NHS, as for my cold sore I cant really remember what it looked like but can the syphilis sore come on within 48 hours?, I have just got over my sickness virus and my rash seems to be clearing up (two weeks duration) but I have got what seems to be another cold sore on my bottom lip its like lots of little blisters alltogether is this what a cold sore should look like, my heads all over the place.

you have a history of cold sores so getting one a few days after performing oral isn't too unusual. your rash several weeks later is unlikely to be a std.

Your money is better spent having the rash looked at than getting std testing done.

Nothing you have said in addition is related to a STD.

In addition to the above, 8 weeks since contact I have got fever, and serious Sicknes and dihorea, in addtion the red rash on my face has spread to my chest, I'am getting tested on tues but would like to hear your comments.

Thanks Vance, the sore came on within 48 hours, but it felt more like an abrasion from kissing brought on an outbreak of my cold sores, as for the blotchy rash I think that is likely to be caused by anxiety, or over use of alcohol but who knows.

Syphilis test is at 6 weeks to be accurate, but what you have described does not sound like syphilis.
