Please Help! Untreated STD

Hi, my last sexual encounter was in 2010, following that I remember I had a burning sensation and very painful wet dreams. I didn’t think much of it, I just dranked cranberry juice and a lot of water and never had any other symptoms since every thing was fine. So about a month ago I get this sharp pain in the area between scrotum and anus and also have tingling sensation in my pee hole. So I go get checked and test negative for all STD’s ect… Doc put me on Doxy and Bactrim just to be sure. Could this pain be related? It is possible to have had an STD and now suffering from it being untreated? I don’t know what else to think, I’m stupid for not checking it out back then. How long would Gono or Chlam stay in your system if untreated?

Okay thank you. So does that mean I shouldn’t believe some of the post I’ve read on here? People becoming infertile, and inflammation due to the infection ect… I mean I’m nervous here. Doc told me that I’m making things worse by thinking so much, but I do feel the pain. So it’s not like it’s not there. Make sense?

HI, these can clear up by themselves in a few months. This is why, before antibiotics were available, no one became really ill with long term problems.
