Prostatitis Or HIV

I am 30 year old from India (Mumbai).

In Third week of October 2010, I had unprotected sex with a Call Girl for very brief period...say half a minute, before putting on condom.
A week after that I observed blood-like substance coming out with my semen after ejaculation. Later I felt that frequency of urination had increased and there was very mild pain during urination. I went to general physician couple of days later, who asked me to carry out PSA serum test, Urine routine and Sperm analysis. All came negative. So he gave me anti-biotics for UTI. However, I observed blood like thing in my sperms 3-4 times after that in next couple of weeks.
After 2 weeks or so, I started feeling pain in my back (lower side) it was mild for few days but worsened a week later. I started feeling pain in my groin and also tingling/numbless in my thighs. There was mild pain in my testicles as well.
This time I went to Urologist. He suspected Prostatitis and asked me to undergo TRUS (Trans-rectal Ultrasonic). The finding was Chronic Inflammation in Prostate region and also calcification in ejaculatory duct. The urologist put me on daily dose of Minocycline Hydrochloride. He also gave me Alfuzosin Hydrochloride (alpha blocker) as a suppliment, but later advised me against it as I started feeling heavy headedness and tiredness.
In the meantime, I had intercourse with my wife. I guess for 2-3 times she observed itching in her genitals and also discharge of curd-like fluid (yeast??) which lasted for 3-4 days and then went off.
Now after being on anti-biotics for 6-7 weeks, the pain in lower back is subdued, there is no blood in sperms after ejaculation, the burning sensation is lessened and frequency of urination is normal. A week back, I had cold, fever, cold and cough, which went off in 3 days after medication.
However, there is this constant tingling like sensation all over the body (mostly thighs, then in right arm thumb, right side of neck) that doesn't go off. I often feel that the pain radiates down from my lower back, to buttocks, to thighs and then to the feet. At the end, i feel that my feet are cold.

My question is, is there scope of me being infected with HIV. (I haven't tested it yet)??. Is my urologist's diagnosis of Prostatitis right?? Looking at the overall history in last 3 months, does it seem that I may have other STDs??

I have been living under much stress for last couple of months and can not courage myself for HIV testing.

YOU ARE NEGATIVE end of story time for you to forget about HIV and move on from this exposure.... I took a test that gave me results in 10 mins... As long as you stay on the net looking for all the wrong answers the longer you will suffer... GoodLuck on getting your mind better...

Got HIV screening done today. Result was negative. Both HIV antibody I and II were non reactive as per test. Test was done by TRI DOT method...wonder what it is though.

I am relieved but not sure whether I should be. People on different forums and health advisers keep telling that the tests done after 6 months of exposure are full proof. Time since my last exposure is now around 13 weeks....is it okay to believe the test results at this stage??

Also the reliability of todays test appears doubtful...because they game me results within 2 hours. Though it was ISO certified clinical research laboratory run by MD Path., I am not sure if I should rely on it not.

your body symptoms the tingling has nothing to do with any STD... it sounds as though your doctor has diagnosed and treated you correctly as you've cured the penil symptoms... you had a very low risk for any STD including HIV but you still had a low risk due to the penetration. Testing is your own choice and if you find that you can't move forward it maybe your only option.

Guilt sounds more like the issue at this point now that you've been treated and it appears your symptoms have subsided except the mental ones such as the tingling.
