swollen/ red looking meatus.
Hello,
I am a 24 year old male. I had a unprotected sex with my girl friend on end of September 2010. She told me she has been tested few months earlier and she was clean. After one and half months around mid November 2010 she told me she got tested again and everything was OK. I dont know what tests she has taken.
After a few weeks i see that my meatus tip was swollen and i can sense a tingling sensation inside my penis. This is just for a moment not very painful just lasts for a second. Eventually it went away. But the swelling on the meatus tip was back to normal but not as before. In following months no more tingling pain inside my penis but a quick short stinging on my meatus tip. It is not all the time it is just few days once. The symptoms.
-No pain while urinating or masturbating.
-No pain during masturbation.
-No discharge.
- No bumps or warts visible on the penis head.
In end of July I went to this std testing lab through a web site and got checked for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, syphilis, Herpes, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV-1 Antibody, HIV 1/O/2 Abs, Qual tests. They collected blood and urine samples. The results came ALL NEGATIVE. This is after 10 months after my unprotected sexual encounter.
Worrying about the stinging issue I went to the clinic and i told the problem along with the std results. The nurse practitioner told me it cannot be a STD cause everything came up negative. But I have to check up for HPV. So she refereed me to urologist who conducted a ultra sound scan on my testis and told me I very tiny hydroceles present and nothing to worry about. About the HPV he told me it is pearly penile papulus not HPV. The urologist told me as the test are all negative he told me there is nothing I need to worry about or at least at this moment.
Now the problem is redness and swelling became high. I can see the lips out side the penis. The redness and swelling is changing time to time like each day . I tried to see inside urethra sometimes I can see red color really red I am not sure if there are any bumps or blisters are present.
The nurse practitioner also took urine sample and did chlamydia and gonorrhea test and urine culture or analysis kept me on Doxycycline 100 mg twice per week. The results were negative for chlamydia and gonorrhea and all normal for urine analysis or culture.
The problems is still persistent. No pain while urinating or masturbating and no discharge.
I am still worried about this I am thinking to get a Swab culture done next week. Is there any other tests i need to get done or ask for specific test? Do You think the herpes test they did was IgG was reliable after 10 months.
- I am suspecting Trich.
- I changed the laundry detergent yesterday.
-I have also used condoms while having sex but they are well known brand I got them from a friend who works for the city and he told me those are free condoms.
I am really confused and worried I donot want to pass on any infection to my future relationships.

you've had full std testing and it's all negative. you know this isn't a std going on.
stop poking and prodding the lil guy!!! The more you try to open up your urethral opening to see inside, the more irritated you'll make him! He doesn't hurt so really no reason to be giving him the once over.
continue to follow up with your urologist as needed if your symptoms continue.

Thank you for your reply. Yes I seem to be too much stressed with it. As I explained the situation clearly and seems like I am std free. I will contact a urologist sooner or later.

There is way too much UN NEEDED anxiety in you your from all this and excessive unnecessary worry. I know, and you know its bad when you are trying to look inside your urethra (been there done that), try to relax and start believing you are STD free.
Since your penis is red and swollen talk to your urologist about that, and no more thinking about STDs, you have none.
