Receptive oral and STDs

Hi - I m a male living in England. A day ago, I had a stupid encounter with another guy (a part time cross dressing prostitute) who gave me an unprotected blowjob. It's something I'm usually paranoid about and always insist on condoms but not this time.. The encounter was brief, I didnt ejaculate, and out of my fear I spent part of it pulling my penis out. He did however deepthroat me for a couple of seconds. We also engaged in very deep french kissing. At some point he tried to have me give him a blowjob which I refused but before I could move my head away he had managed to brush my lips (or tongue not super sure) with his penis and I could clearly taste precum. I immediattely salivated and spat it out.
I am now living in the fear of having caught something:
- HIV , I know he risk is low to non-existant but could it be different if he had another STD
-  Syphilis: how likely is it? I read he would need to have chancres on his lips or in his mouth, but that's impossible to tell
-  Gonorrhoea: would he need to have secretions in his throat or mouth? How likely am I to catch that?. I know most people who have it in the throat dont have symptoms, does it mean they are not infectious (do you need smptoms to pass it on)
- Chlamydia?
- NGU.

If I did contract any of the non HIV diseases above, can I be infectious to my wife In the absence of symptoms? Can I have sex with her until symptoms appear, if they appear and if they do stop then and get treated?
Is my brief contact with his precum any cause for concern?
I did wash my penis and mouth quickly after we were done and about 10 mins later I did rub those areas with a hand sanitizer (alcohool based). Had a full shower maybe 40 mins later. I also made sure to pee ver shortly after we were done.

thanks so much

Mark

yes, the test would've picked up on both of them.

odds are you were just nervous about all of this that you had discomfort while urinating.

Grace, following your advice went and got tested this (Monday) morning (oral sex was last Tuesday night). Test involved a urine sample and two swabs (throat and anal). Tested for chlamydia, gono and syphilis. Results came back negative. I know this was way too early for syphilis but was it late enough to realistically detect the other two? I m not sure what the swabs do.  In your opinion do I need to test again in a few days of should I be fine. Also, probably unrelated but I experoenced discomfort urinating over the last two days... If these were symptoms of chlamydia or gono sureley the test would have picked it up?? Many thanks

The most common symptom of all std's is an absence of symptoms unfortunately. Between a lack of symptoms and a lack of testing, it explains why they are so common :(

syphilis is about the only std you can't transmit without obvious symptoms present.

thanks a lot Grace. Last question: can chlamydia and gonorrhea be infecious in the abseceof symptoms? I read before that you could only pass them if you had symptoms..
you are of course absolutely right and a lot of it is in the mind...

thanks for bumping it back up instead of making a new post :)

Since you have a regular partner, I'd just err on the side of caution and get tested for gonorrhea and chlamydia around the 7 day mark. This was incredibly low risk and I wouldn't even recommend any testing if it weren't for your wife at home.

Meanwhile, put down your penis and go enjoy life!! The more you look at it and obsess, the more you will find and make yourself worry needlessly about. This was really low risk.

i forgot to add: i have a small irritation on my penis's shaft, caused by masturbation. Loks like a scratch that has dried but some parts of it are red and others have dried up. It's still painful.
does that increase my std risk....
