herpes??? help please!!!
im a 22 year old Chinese gay man who had protected anal sex and unprotected oral sex 12 weeks ago. 2 or 3 days after the intercouse i experienced my ANUS GOT AN INTCHING FEELING. immediately i used topical erythromycin and Daktarin for another 2 or 3 days and managed to get rid of it. but i was sill very afraid of some STD so i started to read a lot of infos on the internet and found that my symptom was just like a GH prodrome. i was freaked out so on the 7th day after the possible exposure i went to the biggest hospital of the city. unluckily, since i hadnt experienced any OB, the doc didnt do nothing to me and just let me be watchful of any lesion.
buuuuuut..... i was then just to scared so i did something... i went to a pharmacy and got aciclovir 100mgx48 (to tell the truth, in china the control of some non-OTC meds, especially less "dangerous" ones is quite loose. U can easily get some ACV or valaciclovir in almost all pharmas without prescription, but now U cant get even one single tablet of antibiotic without prescription here. BTW, at that time i really didnt know that AVC is not an OTC, but i knew its not a dangerous one. ). at the beginning i didnt take it daily and at utmost i took 200mgx2 a day, just ocasionally. This stage of time lasted 2 weeks. but the 2nd day with ACV a REALLY ODD NUMBNESS AND UNEASE AT THE SACRAL AREA came, which lasted 2 days. And latter, a REALLY STRANGE NUMBNESS AT THE ANAL AREA for 3 days. I couldn’t do literally anything, just in want of committing suicide!!!!!
During this period of time i went 2 times to the hospital and was diagnosed that id got HEOMORRIOD and HYPERTHROPY OF ANAL PAPILLA. But i decided to switch to suppressive dosage, 400mgx2 out of extreme panic. this happened at the 18th day after the exposure.
then after +/- 5 weeks of chronic ACV, one day i got a slight itching and pain around my waist area and my morning urine turned reddish. I realized maybe 800mg/day is too much for my kidney. The itcing and pain was not a bit severe but it could suggest sth very bad. So I cut the dosage to 200mgx2 and latter I switched to famciclovir 125mgx2 cuz it has no known renal toxicity.
Now Im still on FCV 125X2. Haven’t experienced a single ob after the exposure I made myself tested by the Italian DiaSorin hsv 1/2 IgG assay and the result after 12 weeks turned out to be NEGATIVE. So did test of hiv and syphilis.
But I still cant help worrying because my ANUS IS SUFFERING FROM SOME ITCHING AND TILTING FOR MORE THAN ONE WEEK and many experts posted that SUPPRESSIVE DOSAGE MAY DELAY THE PRODUCTION OF IGG ANTIBODY. What confused me is that nobody had ever posted something about how long the suppressive therapy might prevent the IgG from turning up. Now Ive read many posts about anal herpes and just get more mind torture cuz it will probably be veeeeery painful, take longer time to heal up and also at risk of secondary infection. That ob is far too horrible for me and I don’t even want to take the risk of experience it even a single time!!!
My questions are:
A, could some expert please tell me how long the suppressive therapy may delay the production of detectable IgG?
B, do those symptoms I experienced sound really like the prodrome? If so, why a very low amount of ACV could mask it when I was experiencing the STRANGE ANAL NUMBNESS ?
C, do I still have any chance? What should I do?

Hi none of what you mention suggest herpes and herpes doenot show symptoms like blisters in 2 or 3 days but would take a week or 2 followed by flu like symptoms. using a condom for the anal would make it zero risk for any std if his genital area did not make rubbing contact with your anal area.
also if he did not have any lip sores your risk for herpes is close to zero.

actually i didnt kiss him. we had unprotected oral sex and i was the practitioner. what if he was then shedding asymptomatically? its possible to transmit the virus to my mouth. according to the HSV 1/2 IgG test i didnt have oral hsv 1 so the bump was really a peculiar one.
we used the condom, but im not sure if the part of his dick not covered by the condom, for example the root and eggs, had some contact with my skin around the anal area or not.

yesterday i start to feel an identical legs pain and headache like what ive experienced the first two weeks. its likely ive got sth bad in my neurons cuz the trigeminal and sacral ganglias get sore feeling at the same time. it sounds like its a prodrome. im done!
also a small itching bump around my lip appeared amid my ACV 400mgx2 suppressive period. i scratched it unconsciously and no fluid-like stuff came out. the next day it deswelled. i think it might be an oral hsv2 flareup but was minimized by ACV.
BTW, I did experienced a general fatigue, pain in legs and a groin lymph nodes swollen. most of them happened just after the unease in sacral area. i think my prodrome symptoms are just too textbook-like!!
