Worried about std

Hi,
About 3 weeks ago I had protected oral sex w/ a prostitute.  A week later I started experiencing burning pain during urination.  Then I noticed a slight discharge (kinda milky white) & I also started having a slight pain in my testicals.  I went to the doctor & he gave me some drugs & took a swab.  The test results were negative (I believe for clamidya) but the symptoms are still here & I'm worried I might have herpes.  I've also experienced some throbbing sensations in the shaft of my penis & I noticed what looked like a little white head on my shaft.  I went to another doctor & she took 3 swabs & told me that the sore does not look like herpes.  I'm still worried sick about it & have to wait 3 weeks for results & am even more worried that I may have passed it on to my partner, (who I got back together w/ after the proctected oral w/ a prostitute).  I did some spit test (that i read online about) for male yeast infection & it came out looking like I have a male yeast infection...according to the website.   But I'm frightened that because I started experiencing the symptoms about a week after the protected oral that I have an std.  I'm most frightened that its herpes as it is forever.  If it is an std, which one do you think it is?  Please help...any information on the subject is appreciated.

hi mayflower,

the std forum for herpes and protected oral sex didn't really help all too much as I found out one gentleman tested positive for herpes this way.  He also had sex w/ the prostitute, which I did not do.  If it isn't herpes then why am I experiencing all these symptoms.  Anyone who has any answer would be much appreciated.  I want to calm my nerves, but its very difficult w/ the symptoms and having to wait for test results.  If its not herpes (which I'm so scared it is) then what is it?  it has to be something, otherwise why am I having these pains.

No, I don't think this is worth worrying about at all.  You had a very low risk activity.  Protection is always good.  Even without the protection, it would still be low risk for you.   As for the pimple, clogged pores can happen anywhere on body.  Just clean yourself really well and keep the area dry.  Herpes is usually spread through genital to genital activity not protected oral.

If I were you, I wouldn't even think about this anymore.  Put it behind you b/c you don't have anything.

If you want more assurance, read the STD Doctors Forum and search by herpes or protected oral sex.  Or even ask this question on the herpes forum.

Protected oral sex is very low risk for STDs.  I'm not sure what test you are talking about for yeast infection, but you should get this diagnosed by a doctor (if you have a yeast infection, that could be causing the milky discharge).  If you were to test positive for an STD, it probably wouldn't be from this encounter.
Best,
Em

Hi Mayflowers,  appreciate the quick response...I'm definately feeling guilty about the whole thing, but my worries stem from the symptoms.  I'm actually in Canada, the results for the swab of the sores take about 3 weeks, everything else take about a week.
Regret and guilt aside don't you think the symptoms are worth worrying about?  I'm kind of obsessive compulsive to begin w/ so that + the symptoms have me really frightened.  I hope your right & I appreciate your response.  Still quite worried though.

Protected oral sex is very low risk for anything.  It doesn't sound like herpes or any other  STD.  I've never heard of an STD test taking 3 weeks, are you in the US?  It sounds more like nerves or guilt over doing this.  Most likely you're ok
