STD?

I have recently developed a large red bump in my pubic region. it looks similar to a mosquito bite. It came about one day after i shaved that region. It then developed and whilst in a hot bath the yellowish head on it came off. since then at closer inspection it appears there are several small white looking bumps surrounding that same area. It does itch quite alot and also my groins feel slightly swollen - this may be due to my sports season starting at the same time too.

any thoughts? after looking at the symptoms of herpes i cant help but think it may be this.

I am in a relationship with a girl, have been for a year. neither of us have cheated, we are both clean. we have unprotected sex as she is on another form of contraception.

I didnt get tested for herpes so i guess she didnt. I just cant see how this would develop as it has, we have been together for a year now with nothing appearing on either of our bodies.  is there any treatment for herpes? what can they do?

You need to go and have this checked out in the morning. It could be many things but in case it's a bacterial infection, it need prompt evaluation so you can start treatment before it gets worse.

Odds are that neither you nor your gf have ever been tested for herpes. Did you both get tested for std's before you started being intimate? Most folks don't and most std tests aren't for the full gambit of std's, just anywhere from 1 -3.
