Mystery "thing"

I had an encounter nearly a month ago with my new girlfriend. She lives in a different province, and I honestly don't know if she is clean or not. Despite me believing her when she told me she was. So I had unprotected sex with her. After about 8-12 days i started noticing small red bumps on the head of my penis. The small red bumps started multiplying now there are a lot of them. But they are limited to the head of my penis and under the head of my penis. My penis is itchy constantly. And I developed small cuts under the head of my penis. I do keep my privates clean. It does not burn when I pee. And this rash or whatever is no where else on my body. I only got tested for STDs 1 week from today, and I was given doxycycline 100mg. 28 pills @ 2 X a day. I have been taking the drugs as prescribed. But the symptoms are getting worse, and now my foreskin is extremely sensitive and swollen. Any thoughts on what this could be? I'm very worried.

That is up to you. It would affect the antibiotics though.  There are creams out there but I do not know what is effective for men.  We do not advocate self medicating but we cannot stop you from doing the research on your own.

They didn't even look at my penis, or for me to take off my pants. Just automatically gave me antibiotics and said "i'll call you with the results".  I'm really liking this idea of a fungal infection. It really makes sense, and definitely lifts my spirits. Would it be wise to start taking natural immune system boosters to help fight the infection? I would like to have sex again in 2 weeks time, when my girlfriend comes out to visit.

Sounds like a fungal infection.  She may have had a yeast infection, though so mild she didn't know.  Men are susceptible to yeast infections too.  It is not an std so do not worry.  It is actually a normal though annoying infection that can occur.  Taking antibiotics would make it worse as they kill the natural bacteria that balance with the yeast in our bodies.  Talk to your doctor about fungal infection...see what they say.  Why you were prescribed doxy for a rash and not other symptoms is beyond me.
