Syphilis, gonorhea, chlamydia and hiv 4th generation duo test at 4weeks and 3days all negative. Here is my question: gonorrhea and chlamydia were done by "Aptima test" whatever that is, syphilis by "rpr", was that too soon for testing or do all these tests pick up at least 90% of infections by this time? Has anybody ever heard of a HIV ag/ab EIA 4th generation turn positive at 12weeks but was previously negative at 4weeks? Also I have read on the Internet that rpr for syphilis is pretty accurate but for new infections. However if the bacteria has been there for more than 6 months or more, it could not be picked up because the agent is not reactive but it is there. In this case should I wait 16weeks to test with a syphilis Elisa for antibodies? Any input is appreciated and would highly appreciate input coming from Vance, Teak, nurse girl, and Lizzie Lou

Thanks, it must be this crazy anxiety and guilt I had about catching something. I'll try to calm myself down and move on with my life.

Will do. Hey Vance which std is suggestive of these symptoms:

Thanks for the reply. I know many have said a 4th generation combo/duo is conclusive and won't change after 4weeks(28days) including Dr. HHH but still I'm freaking out. I have had only tingling and burning sensation at week 2~3 (tingling at penis shaft, head, groin, testicles, tighs. Burning inside tighs/feet, no torso or face but all over my hands. During this time I had difficulty getting all the urine out when peeing).

I found this link. During this time week 2~3 i experienced almost (99%) of what these guys experienced but mine is different cuz now its all gone.

No rash on torso, no joint pain/muscle ache, no real feeling of tiredness (even though i stayed in bed a lot as i could sill walk, run, and carry heavy stuff when i wanted to) no fever, no nausea, no weight loss, no incontinence, no blood in feces or urine, no weird looking patches on palm of hands or feet, no tongue discoloration, no enlarged lymph nodes nowhere, no vomiting, no lesions (herpes but maybe I'm asymptomatic). However I had mild headaches for couples of minutes here and there (not everyday), diarrhea for 2 times only (and different days), lower back pain (but I'm known to have back pain from poor posture) but still I don't want to neglect the fact it might be a red flag for new infection. I almost forgot, I have had (at week 2) a pimple inside the mouth (close to throat by right ear area). It looked like filled with clear liquid. When it popped I started to have earache on and off until week 4. Cough for only 1 night (at week2) Also I have had some weird feeling with my throat. It's not really a sore throat as I can eat, drink with no problems but I have this weird on and off sensation the food is stuck in my throat from week 2 til now (week9). Back pain is also weird, it's moving. Like I don't get it. Sometimes it's mid back spine, next day it's upper back spine, day after it's base spine but most days it's located at lower back rather than base wich is preferred location for hsv2 virus (started week 6 til now). Night sweats only 3 times and different days. I have to admit my anxiety levels are pretty high and but not as high as before the test results. The std clinic where I went only did gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV and syphilis tests (all negative at 4weeks and 3 days) No uti, hsv 1, hsv2, hep b, hepc, LGV, chancroid, candida tests.
