Swollen lymph node in groin area and perineum.

About a day before I started my period my perineum became itchy and swollen and my right lymph node also swelled and became painful. It's now been 5 days, my lymph node had gone down some and is less painful. But my perineum seems to be getting worse. I not sure if its because of itching it or wiping too hard when going to the bathroom, when the area was swollen; there seems to be too patches that are raw looking. It's irritatingly painful and burns when I urinate. I am going to visit my doctor, but am waiting till my period of over. Any Ideas?

This is EXACTLY what I am going through right now - What happened in the end? I am being stubborn and don't want to go to the doc about it and I trying to do research to see what helps.
If you can remember what helped you, I would so appreciate the help right about now!

thanks!

This might just be a yeast infection, it does not sound STD related, but your Dr will tell you for sure.

I've had the same partner for about five months. We both are std free so we don't use condoms, i am faithful and to the best of my knowledge so is he. But it's also a long distance relationship.
