Right, thanks.
So I went to see another urologist three days ago because of my symptoms, which were not so much frequent urination, but rather slight pressure in my urethra. He touched my prostate through my rectum; it was painful and he said it was swollen.
I told him about my condom-protected lapse in judgment and he said I had absolutely nothing to worry about that because condoms work. I also told him that for the past 6 months I've been having unprotected anal sex with my girlfriend, to which he immediately replied: "there's your infection". Although we´ve never had a problem because of this, the doc is pretty sure that this is bacterial prostatitis caused by E. Cholli or some other bacteria of her rectum. He prescribed 7 days of Ibuprofen and 28 days of Levofloxacin.
It's been three days since that visit. The prostate examination really left me feeling uncomfortable and with slight pain where he touched, which went away completely just yesterday, 2 days after the examination. However, the reason I came back here, and also the reason for me being very distressed right now, is that I masturbated today and there was blood in my semen. This has never happened to me before.
The doctor's assistant told me the doc would return my call later today. I am really hoping that the blood was caused because of trauma during the examination... fingers crossed.
Anyway, just about EVERYONE but me, including two medical professionals, is pretty sure that this is not STD related. Which is why I am not really looking for advice anymore; just wanted to report back.
Only develop where the condom was not protected. And this is exactly what that statement means. It also means the condom could break! Thats what it means by saying its still a risk, breaking and unprotected areas.
Nothing is going to crawl down inside the condom to infect you.
Ok thanks, but this leaves me with another question:
I've read in other posts here that condom protected sex is still a risk for syphilis, herpes and HPV. I am getting particularly afraid of syphilis, since the sore is supposedly painless.
Would it be possible for me to develop a painless syphilis sore inside my urethra, or would it only develop in the area not covered by the condom?
Also, does a syphilis sore produce any discharge?
Thank you very much. This forum has helped clear most of my worries.
Since your affair was protected you had no risk for any stds as nothing could get inside your urethra. What ever sympotms your having are not related to the affair.
