Thank you for all those links. I'll check them out. I had one biopsied a few years ago and it came back 6 and 11 I believe. I can't remember if it said 6/11 as in one of those two was determined or if that means I have both in one specimen?
I won't provide all the support for the following, but my ex says I gave her 16 and 18 when we first got married, and I'm inclined to believe her. Her test said 16 and 18 but, again, I'm not sure if that means one of those or both. Long story short, it seems like Gardasil has me covered. Heck, I can still get 5 more strains! There's always bright side. Lol
Between the loss of sensation with condoms and the climax inhibiting nature of Lexapro, actual sex is more work than its worth so I'm hoping somehow my body can suppress outbreaks someday. I'm glad that women are so understanding, though, which helps immensely.
Anyways, I've taken up valuable time you could have been talking someone with absolutely no risk down from the cliff they're refusing to climb down from :)
Have a great Christmas or holiday or whatever you call it!
Hi auntiejessi. Though we'll never meet, I feel a kinship with your way of being so thank you for being a part of this community. Ironically, you could be my neighbor for all I know. Lol
Things are OK with me for the most part. I hope they are with you, as well.
One more question regarding Gardasil. What exactly does that vaccine promise. If I have outbreaks 0-3 times per year and have regular, unprotected sex, vaginal and anal with a new partner who is freshly vaccinated, what can I tell her about her risk? Is there anything definite I can say or would it all be generalities? If age plays any role, she's 33 and hasn't had that many partners, and seems to have been a stickler about condoms so perhaps Gardasil really would help.
Thanks!
Hey Dave :)
I'm happy to see you, but not for this reason.
No, you can't spread it like that. You have a genital infection, not just an infection in the spots you get a wart, or warts. If you get warts on the left side of your penis, for example, it doesn't mean that only your left side is infected with that strain. That just happens to be where you got the warts. You could get them anywhere in the genital and anal area.
Women don't "spread" them by wiping, anymore than you'd spread them by washing, or masturbating. Some people who've never had anal sex get anal warts .
Hope that helps, and hope you're doing well otherwise. :)
