Syphillis testing

Hi

I wonder if someone could help me. I had a low risk exposure 7 weeks ago I had mutual masturbation, deep kissing and rubbing together of penis's. I realise this is no risk for HIV but there is a risk of Syphillis.

I got tested at the 6 week mark for all STD's including HIV and Syphillis and they were all negative.

Does anyone know is 6 weeks long enough for Syphillis I am reading that it is and that I can now relax as it was a stupid one night mistake although I know I wasnt at any real risk for HIV etc.

Cheers

Alan

You can not get an STD from kissing, no matter what that person has. So being worried about kissing, well ease your mind.
Yes 6 weeks is a good time for testing for every possible STD. You are clean.

Hi

Thanks for the posting. I got tested at GUM in the UK so I think they will have the same tests as in the US.

Really only risk was the long french/deep kissing and hope that the lad didnt have a sore in his mouth but like you say hopefully six weeks is good and syphillis wasnt there.

Cheers

Even your risk for syphillis was about zero because you would have to cone into contact with a sore. And syphillis is really, really rare in developed countries.
Your testing time was good, you are negative and can forget about this episode.
