Can antibiotics cause false negative PCR test?

Please help me.  I tested for broad range of STDs (chlamidia, gonoreah, mgen, trich) about 10 days after I had sex with CSW. But I took 1g of Azitromycin 12 hours before the test because I thought I had some symptoms.

Test was negative. Could it be wrong?

I understand for culture tests, but I thought DNA takes ~5 days to clear

It can yes. 12 hours is a short window so you may be ok but it can affect.

What was your exposure and symptoms?
