question for vance and the guys

Hi, i had sex back in august of last year with another guy whos status was unknown, i received unprotected oral from him and gave him protected anal, the whole experience lasted 20 minutes tops, 2 days later i am experiencing a stinging sensation around my uthera which then gradually worked its way down the shaft of my penis to my scrotum and  to the from and backs of my thighs, this lasted for about 7 days and i also experienced a pulsating headache and crawlng sensations from head to toe plus burnining sensations in hands and feet, i had no visible sores or lesions though as time went ive noticed the head of my penis has like an orange peel effect, i am not experiencing headaches and stomach gurgling this 4 months now, ive had 4 hiv tests 5 weeks 8 weeks 10 weeks and 20 weeks which were negative and had all the usual std tests on 4 occasions as well, i have been taking 1x 250mg tablet of erythromyson for my skin over the last 4 years, does anyone have a clue what i may have and could the erythromycin alter the results of my tests, thanks

Sorry, missed that part.  I thought you only had HIV tests.  I agree with the GUM clinic.  Herpes blood tests are so inconclusive, unless you have a lesion or sore to culture, there is not way to be sure you have it.  The fact that you've not had any lesions or sores appear is a good indication you do not have it.

hi shaken, i had hiv, gonnerrhea, chlamydia, syphlis, hepatitis B and C tests at 5 weeks and 3 days, same again at 8 weeks 3 days same again at 10 weeks 2 days and then 20 weeks, could hsv2 cause these symptoms without the presence of sores, the gum clinic here refused to give me a herpes blood test because there was no visable sores, apparently its proceedure over here in the uk

looks like you've only had HIV tests and not a full STD panel?  In any event it doesn't matter, I agree with Vance.  Whatever is going on currently is not STD related.  You could have had some type of NGU related to normal flora of the mouth, which caused the stinging in your urethra, but NGU from oral sex can clear up on its own.  But again, whatever is currently going on is not STD related.  Hopefully this helps you move on from this.

Depending on how long you took the medication and when after that your tests were. But you took STD tests 4 times...you don't have a STD.

Hi vance, thanks for the quick reply, what about the stinging i experienced 2 days after having the sex and do you think a 250mg tablet of erothromycin once a day would give false negatives on the tests for syphilis and other bacterial stds?

This has nothing to do with a STD, work with your Dr.
