I have a small ulcerated ~4mm lesion on my lip, as well as a white, ovoid, ~4mm lesion on the floor of my mouth. Both occurred about 10 days after I (male) performed oral sex on a new (female) partner. We had intercourse as well but always protected. Both lesions are slightly painful and I have no other lesions (oral or genital) after careful inspection of my oral mucosa. I have never had any genital or oral lesions before. My partner claims to never had any oral or genital lesions nor STDs.
Perhaps? important, I had a PPD (negative) placed 6 days prior to the lesions.
I suspect this is aphthous stomatitis, although I don't believe I've ever had it before. I am of course worried about HSV1 or HSV2, as well.
The reason I sound informed is that I'm a health professional, but I ask because I'm in a field that is well away from these things.
Many thanks in advance,
