Hi,
I received oral sex from a friend back in September 2018. I am married so there was anxiety after of course. We did have some incidental penis and vaginal contact but no insertion. When I woke up the next morning (yes, roughly 12 hours later) I had stinging/tingling in the tip of my penis I would rate about a 2/10, and found it mostly annoying and concerning. I asked my friend about it and she said she's been clean with STDs and hasn't had much of a sex life in recent months. It was not made worse with urination, in fact it kind of went away, and there was never any obvious discharge or underwear stain. It didn't wake me up at night but my anxiety did.
After a week of this, I went to an urgent care to be tested and I almost felt as if it went away as I walked up. I was not clear in my complaint so they did a mid-stream urine and found no significant findings. I was more clear about my desire for STD check and they swab tested for chlamydia and gonnorhea which were both negative. After that appointment, my pain was gone and after reading HHH's assessments for comparable complaints, I started having sex again with my wife. Over the next month, the discomfort came and went, never any discharge, and I started having strange feelings in my testicles and perineum that just didn't feel normal. I read a lot on here and chalked it up to anxiety and tried to put it past me but couldn't/can't help but think about it being prostatitis due to MG.
At the one month mark, because of all of the vague feelings, particularly sensitive urethral opening (came and went) and what I thought was swelling on the right meatus, I went to my doctor's office to be checked for all
std's. He seemed incredibly disinterested and at least looked but didn't see anything abnormal. I had a blood draw and urine and all standard tests were negative. NGU was not tested nor was MG.
My questions:
1) MG takes a long time to grow in the lab hence the special tests so it doesn't make sense that I would have sensations 12 hours later. What are the possibilities for that discomfort?
2) With MG and prostatitis, what is the time frame for onset of prostatitis? Can it cause vague sensations that resolve on their own? I will admit that if I'm busy I don't necessarily feel it but there are times where I would feel a twinge down there and it would put me back to thinking about it.
3) I'm in the USA. I went to a Planned Parenthood but they don't test for MG because it's not FDA approved and I don't feel like they are going to help me any further. Do I just move on and hope I don't have it?
I can offer more details to my testing regiment but it's all negative like everyone here and my symptoms were non-specific.
Thank you
