Red Penis Rash on glans and pain

Day 1 - I had one time unprotected sex for about 20 seconds. Yes, 20 seconds. With a stranger.
Day 14 - had discharge, tingling in penis head, AND unusual TICKLING sensations all around my perenial and testicle region (not in but around the testes). I say unusual because I never read that tickling in this region is a symptom of chlamydia.
Day 15: went to doctor, they gave me azithromycin, rocephin (just in case). Got full STD panel done.
Day 20: Results back, chlamydia was postiive. But I already got treated so they said dont worry
Day 25: no discharge anymore, but still some discomfort, irritating feeling inside penis head so I went back and they gave me doxycycline for 7 days. I noticed that after taking all 3 antibiotics, my stool was very dry everytime I went to the bathroom. There was also a little bit of blood, and there was rarely anything on the tissue after wiping.

Day 40 (about a month after the antibiotics): I had pain in the rectum and also red unraised rashes were forming on my penis head. I noticed the rash because it was itching and I was itching the area alot. I took a bath and did not worry about the rash.

Day 41: went to the STD clinic and they checked urine test for WBC and none. retested for chalmydia which was negative. They gave me flagyl just in case (trich) because I still was having some irritation in the penis head. I did not take the flagyl because I was worried about my stool being affected.

Day 42--90 (for about a month and half) - I did not have symptoms besides the occassional dry stool in small pellets. I thought I was completely cured from chlamydia

Day 91 (3 months from sexual encounter) - I developed the same rash that I had at day 40. Only thing time it was spreading to my foreskin. Everytime I got an erection, my penis head turned bright red. I started to worry heavily. I went to about 4 different urologists and 2 dermatologists and most of them thought it was a fungal infection. The rash was not always there, it came and goes. I was treated with clotrimazole cream, diflucan (100mg for 3 days), even tried monistat, and Lotrizome (steroid +antifungal). I even tried the flagyl because I was hopeless. Keep in mind these were not done at the same time, but I used them separately for a period of 4 weeks. I went to the STD clinic and they tested me for chlamydia again which came to be positive (but it was false positive because I went to two other locations and retested negative right after AND i already had taken doxy and azithromycin) AND i never had any sexual encounter since day 1.

day 120 (4 months after sexual encounter) - The penis head is still very red at times (especially when erect). I took a stool culture and they found fungus growing so they gave me an even high dosage of flucanozole (diflucan 200mg) for 4 days. On my 4th day of flucanozole had a sharp shooting pain inside my penis head (urethra). Was close to going to the ER. At this time im heavily depressed.

I am hopeless. Doctors dont know whats going on. I tried every test. I tested for Herpes, HIV, chalmydia, gonnorhea multiple times at 2 months, 3months, and 4months. All were negative. Doctors tell me its not HPV because they would see raised outbreaks/warts. And there is no test for men.

To recap my symptoms:
flat red rashes on penis head and foreskin (area right below glands)
discomfort/irritation inside penis head
burning feeling inside penis head (not when i urinate however)

Please help me. What can be causing this? Adenovirus? Am I taking too many medication? I am scared this could lead to penile cancer. There has to be more tests out there. I havent done a urethral swab but I have no discharge and I don't even know what they would culture the swab for.

Thanks so much

Hi Gerry,

I am suffering from similar problem except your stool issues which I do not have. but my penis has similar problem for the past 2 months, specially the rashes on penis head at both the sides and the pain sometimes come and go in penis shaft.

Can you let me know your status and how did you cure it.

I am in need and please help me..

your stool issues sound like constipation which will cause it's own set of issues. I think finding the fungus in your stool wasn't meaningless as far as what is going on.  if you are still having pellets and hard stool, time for a stool softener and even perhaps you need a daily laxative like senokot to get things regular again.  hard stool sitting on your prostate on the inside can also cause some pain issues too.

it can be hard to get rid of  yeast infections. you might want to consider a probiotic like culturelle twice a day too to help replace your 'good' bacteria in your gi tract. it's the biggest organ in the body so keeping it healthy can make the rest of you feel better too :)  keep using the topical yeast creams on your penis twice  a day for a week when you get the rashes back too.  cut down on processed foods and high sugar foods and get more whole grains , fruits and veggies. the higher fiber diets help your bowels stay healthy too since it helps the 'good' bacteria to "stick' to your bowels.

you know you don't have a std going on causing your symptoms. you've been way over treated with medications which is also adding to your yeast/fungal over growth :(

Life360 I appreciate your inputs. I agree I do worry ALOT. Every day I am afraid that if I dont treat this myself it will get worse and worse, which leads me to go to so many different doctors all the time. It kills me that I dont know if my immune system will heal it over time (then I should stop worrying) or if it will get worse (in this case I need to be extremely proactive).

It also kills me that I feel like no one else is dealing with this and doctors cant figure it out. I wish I just had an answer.

Hi and welcome. The head of your penis   will get red from blood being forced into it. If  your constantly checking your penis  you could be causing the irritation. Just stop touching it and follow up with your doctors. Medications can have reactions in the penis head. I was taking high blood pressure med and developed red shiny spots on my penis head and the doctor said reactions end up there for some reason..
The way you have listed the last four months of your life in such detail could be associated with anxiety.
