gonorrhea

I am a male, and have only had sex with one woman in the past month. Started noticing burning sensation in my penis when urinating. yesterday morning, i noticed a whitish discharge - opaque, almost like sperm. I went to the urgent care and had a urine test done. Doctor told me that I do not have a regular UTI but rather an STD that is either gonorrhea or chlamydia. I was shocked to hear that of course and then when he looked at the discharge told me that it actually looks like gonorrhea specifically.

He said i had white blood cells in my urine which i think means an infection, but how did he know that it was definitely an STD? I have talked to my girlfriend (actually my fiancee) about this and she says she has absolutely zero symptoms of gonorrhea. Also she says that she has not slept with anybody else, only me. The last time she had sex before me was with her ex with a condom over a year ago, and the last time she had sex without a condom (besides with me one time) was with her first boyfriend over two years ago.

Now i know you are going to think she is lying to me and is likely cheating on me, and believe me i have had my moments of suspicion. However, i really do believe her. I know fidelity is out of the scope of this forum but i just want to put that out there. I have been cheated on before by an ex and the reaction was worlds different from what i have received from my fiancee. She is going in to be tested today, and i would like to know how long it will be until she knows the result. she is going to the same gynecologist shes always gone to, and that worries me just because if he never saw anything before how is he going to see it this time unless its something new (ie she really is cheating on me).

Anyway, i guess im just wondering if it was hasty of my doc to diagnose me with the clap without it being confirmed by the urine analysis. I live in a college town although i am not in college and he had already seen 3 cases that day!
are there any other infections that this could be besides an STD? its making me anxious because i have so many thoughts in my head about it. I of course will demand to see written lab results from my fiancee just to be sure, but how long do you suppose that will take? They are doing a blood test on her for chlamydia and urine test for the gonorrhea.I wont know my confirmed results until Tuesday according to my doc (thats when he said he will call me).

Thanks!

Ok, so i misunderstood her. It actually was a swab test for both. Her gynecologist says in his opinion she definitely DOES NOT have an STD of any kind, at least that would show up in her vagina. i have seen proof of his diagnosis in a photo.

He did say there was something, and by the way she is in a foreign country, that she has some kind of fungus - in her 3rd world country i guess that is common? Test results will be back for her on wednesday, for me on tuesday.

he advised her to take the same medicines i took, a shot in the behind and a general antibiotic - ceftriaxone and azithromycin but only as a precaution. but to treat this fungus or "hongo" as he calls it, fluconazol.

this waiting really sucks! i do not show any signs of a yeast infection, like you say Vance my symptoms are/were STD oriented. And by the way, the shot and pills from yesterday seem to be helping rid me of the burning sensation.

Blood test for chlamydia is useless for her, tell her either urine or swab test for gonorrhea and chlamydia. Don't know how long it will take for results, she has to ask her Dr.

As for you the symptoms really point to a STD, but you have to wait till the tests come back for you.
