I too was diagnosed with HPV recently. I had unprotected oral sex and hand job given to me. 4 Days later on Friday I had small bumps near base of penis appear. I went to STD clinic fallowing Monday. Doctor told me it was Molluscum Contagious, I asked are you certain it is not herpes or warts. She said it was Molluscum.

I returned 3 weeks later to receive treatment with Trichloroacetic acid.  Same clinic different doctor this time told me it was not Molluscum and it was Genital Wart. I went ahead with the treatment.

I am now worried and confused what doctor is correct? I tried the white vinegar test today and the Warts/Molluscum did not turn white. I do not know if it didnt turn white because I already had the first stage of Trichloroacetic acid treatment?

I really do not know what doctor was correct. I have another appointment and will ask for biopsy. Do you think it to late for biopsy because of one Trichloroacetic acid treatment?

From what the doctor told me HPV will clear in 6 months to 2 years on its own. I ask if that means it gone or just latent. She replied that it is a grey area and she has not an answer for that.

I'm no Dr or authority on this but it seems that your best bet is to have your future partner simply get vaccinated against it, if they don't already have it. HPV is VERY common so do not fret or feel alone in anyway. You'll be fine, at most (for men, in my understanding) it may cause warts which can be treated, condoms should always be used as well as having your partner vaccinated.
