Hey guys i dont know if candida is an std but i want to ask.
I have a candida infection (internal) it was diagnosed with a coulture from a swab.
I developed it from anti biotics

So i know it is in my urethra.
Is it going to be also in my mouth (i dont have any white coating)
Also i would like to ask if it is going to affect my girlfriend since we kiss often..

Thanks

odds are she wouldn't contract it orally either. yeast overgrowth usually occurs because of illness or antibiotic use. normally we are able to fight off the yeasts that area already always present on our body and in our  mouth.

Thanks grace!!!
So if i have it in my lower parts and its internal will I have also candidiasis in my mouth (so if i kiss her is there a possibility to give it to her. (i repeat that i do not have obvious yeast infection in my mouth. All looks normal).

Should i avoid kissing as well or sharing eating utensils?

no it's not a std.

can your gf contract yeast from you? she can but the risk of such is low. I'd refrain from sex until you are done with your antifungal treatment.
