urethral pain

is it possible to get an STD from someone performing oral sex on a male?
could an STD cause urethral pan?
someone performed oral sex on me about a month ago. have had this problem within the last two- three weeks.
i am having some pain in the area between my scrotum and my rectum.
it appears to be internal and more painful when I "flex" my penis during urination.
i am still able to get an erection with minimal discomfort.
there is more pain when i am sitting in a cushioned chair.
warm baths are somewhat soothing, but not real helpful.
can this be helped by an antibiotic?
please advise.
thanks.

I don't know about the scope.  You might try posting in the urology forum for more answers on that.

the person who gave me oral is a cancer survivor. this person is gay and is tested constantly for STD's due to him having cancer. clean bill of health he tells me. i am bi. been with no one else, other than oral by him a few times, no sex with anyone else, including my wife.

i read on-line about the symptoms of gonorrhea and i do not appear to have all the same symptoms, just the urethra pain part, no thick discharge, etc...
i do have a history of prostatitis. but this is different than in the past. i had another medical exam this week for a different reason (gastrititis follow-up) and that dr examined me for this since he is an md. said one lobe of my prostate seemed sensitive. his feeling is that this is a minor infection of some sort.
my urine appears to be very clear for the most part.
i do have a dr appt set up for this week. i am just trying to prepare myself.
he may scope my urethra he said. is that a painful exam? am i awake? any sedatives?
thank you aj.

Yes, its possible.  You could get gonorrhea, syphilis, NGU or genital herpes type 1.  Your symptoms sound like it might be gonorrhea or NGU, if anything.  It can also be prostatitis.

You should see your doctor for testing, because the antibiotic you'd need for gonorrhea is different than what you'd need for NGU.
