very itchy vagina with with think patches in skin

I am a 45 yr old woman I haven't had sex in 3 years, a couple of months ago I started itching some and felt really dry in my vagina area, it has progressed severely I am to embarrassed to go to doctor and do not have health insurance, I've been using Aquaphor cream and has helped some I recently lost my job and have been under alot of stress and the itching has gotten worse, I have scratched myself untilit bleeds and is very raw, it now hurts to urinate and the itching has gotten worse and the white patches are moving towards my anal area. I am also a recovering lung cancer patient and have had chemo and radiation. Please help is there anything I can use to help soothe the pain and help with the itching.

Thank you,
Kim

you need to go to Planned parenthood at the very least to get a proper exam done ( they charge based on income and are usually more affordable ). I actually recommend a gyn even though you don't have insurance. White patches that itch and are moving can be something called lichens planus. It needs prompt and proper treatment or it can cause long term damage that will cost you a lot to deal with. Be seen sooner rather than later to deal with this properly!   You also need basic testing for other infections too to make sure you don't have a vaginitis going on too.

We can't tell you what is wrong but it is not a STD. See a Dr.
