Reoccuring Balanitis...could it be chlamydia?

Hi,
I am 21 years old, uncircumsized male.I do not often expose myself to high risk sexual situations and have only had sex with a few women. However about three months ago I was on holidays with my friends, I had alot to drink and found myself in bed with a woman. I have no idea about the womans sexual history and have no way of contacting her. Although we only had oral sex, from the best of my memory I may have grazed her vagina with the head of my penis.

Seven days after the incident I noticed a bright red blotchy rash on the glans of my penis. It was painless and did not itch or cause any discomfort. I think I should note in that time I went two days without showering and swam in the pool a couple of times. The rash appeared to be balanitis. Thinking logically I applied antifungal cream and the symptoms dissapeared within 36 hours or so.

I continued to apply antifungal cream for a week and a half. 4 days after this the rash came back with the same intensity as it was previously but then dissapeared again within 36 hours but this time with no treatment.

I started to take extra precautions with my hygeine. Making sure to properly wash my penis and dry it before putting on underpants.

For two weeks I had no symptoms and then again it returned only to dissapear again in 36 hours. This cycle has continued for the past four months and I cannot seem to find any irritants that may be causing this. The rash does not resemble a circular shape but is rather sprawled across the head of the penis, often coming back in different locations. It is always red in colour and always dissapears within about a day and a half. I have no pain when urinating or any other symptoms associated with urethritis.

I started reading about possible causes and came across circinate balanitis. I noted that circinate balanitis often resembles circles with a grey border. Mine isnt like this but I'm still worried. Could I have chlamydia?! The only irritant I can think of is maybe the "precum"as sometimes I do not clean it off for a few hours if I'm hanging out with my girlfriend.

I know the chances of chlamydia are slim but should I still be worried (considering where I live maybe 5% of  young sexually active people have the disease) !?!? Could this be associated with rieters syndrome?! I have no arthritis or conjuctivitis. What percentage of chlamydia patients have circinate balanitis??

Im going to try a saline solution when cleaning and to trim my pubic hair as it sometimes gets caught under the foreskin hopefully this will make a difference! Say on the off chance I did have it what are the chances I have passed it on to my girlfriend. We have had unprotected sex once since the incident.

had the same problem. could be an std. its either chlamydia or balanitis. the only way to tell is though a test swab and a urine sample. you CAN get chlamydia through oral sex, the human mouth has many germs. go to a doctor asap. i waited too long and mine became infect, started to puss, burn and swelled up so much i could hardly pee anymore.

My advice is to see a Dr for your condition, it is not STD related.
