Possible std risks was started.
Hi doctor I need help urgent!
I got tested for STDs after unprotected oral sex.
I had discharge from my penis 7 days after and hurting while urinating.
They tested everything except clymidia. They said it was a mistake. So they retested using the same urine sample but the sample was 7days old now. My results came back all negative. I think it was due to my unhygenic reasons. I didn't wear undies one day and wore my dirty unwashed suit pants and a lot of friction was caused on my penis.
Now I have conjunctivitis ! One red sore eye! And chlorsig for 3 days has not helped me !
Any chance the clymidia test should have been positive but became negative because they used a 7 day old sample ?
Please help!
Thank you.
Please reply asap I am so

Modern tests for genital chlamydial infection and gonorrhea are very reliable. You can be confident the negative results were accurate.
I thought you were "in the clear for chlamydia" long before I saw your last message!

Hello - thanks for the words while I am waiting for the Dr.
I have taken steps to get help to curb my behavior. And you are right, I am racked by the guilt and anxiety. I feel like if I knew 100% that I didn't have an STD I think I could move on. When I got my negative test results on August 8th, I felt great, then I started wondering about false negatives and the like. I wonder if those fears are founded or no. Then my eye seems to be a little more red and feels dry. More so than usual. Then I get on the internet and the next thing I know I am thinking maybe I have Chlmydia in my eyes and the tests were false negatives.
On another note, I did go to the eye Dr. today. He said I have blepharitis whith means the ducts that keep the eyes moist are clogged. He said it could have been that way for years. I need to have better hydration in my body and also he has me doing things over the next week to get them unclogged. He also gave me some antibiotic drops. So I think maybe I am in the clear for chlymdia. What do you think Dr HHH?
We all here understand the worry you are feeling...then you get hooked and just come back to learn to be more careful.Dont beat yourself up, we all make mistakes. No one will judge about you being married, but that seems to be the source of your concern.
To be blunt, but not trying to offend you in any way (truely), doesnt sound like there is anything really wrong with your eye since you have a history of irritation and it does clear up with visine. You also mentioned there was no discharge...that's a good sign. Any virus in the eye would cause a more severe reaction....I think, and just my opinion that your guilt is the problem. You know you did something wrong so your insistant that you had to have caught something since there were no other consequences(wife didnt find out).
All in all you were pretty responsible by using condoms which do prevent transmission of most std's if used properly and if they dont fail. So relax a little, you said you are doing better so dont beat yourself up by worry about something that was low risk. We all make mistakes, doesnt make you a bad person. Getting help and accepting that what you did was wrong for you and by not do it again will ease the fear that you caught something..(taking the steps to insure that) Good luck.
I got knoocked off by my computer. I wanted to finish by saying the odd feeling in my penis may be in my head since it will go away when I am busy doing and thinking about other things and then when I realize I am not feeling it and think about it it comes back. Again, I just want to know if I can rely on my negative results for those STD's and if my eye sounds at all like a chmydia infection.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr I have something I forgot to ask. Would there be any realistic chance my tests last month were false negative for chlmydia and gonnerra? They where 2 and 3 months after the unprotectef oral and protected vaginal. Also, I now remember I had mutual masterbation that included some protected oral 12 days before my test. Can I rely on my negative results? Sometimes I get a feeling inside my penis that feels like it did when they put the swab in my uretha, except much less painful. I think this is in my head.
Sure, chlamydia can infect the eyes. But it is extremely uncommon in adults (more common in babies in the first 2 weeks of life, after being born to infected mothers). In some tropical countries, chlamydia eye infection (called trachoma--which is why the formal name of the organism is Chlamydia trachomatis) is fairly common, but those infections are not sexually transmitted.
In 30+ years in the STD field, I have seen only 1 case of chlamydial conjunctivitis, and that was in a person with obvious genital symptoms. Also, chlamydial eye infections almost always involve only 1 eye, not both. Finally, the risk of getting chlamydia, especially of the eyes, is extremely low from the exposures you describe. I wouldn't even test you for it.
I hope that helps. Best wishes-- HHH, MD
