CLOSED UTERUS WITH NO RETURN

I'M A 56 YO WOMAN WITH A HISTORY OF ASTHMA AND A GENETIC CONDITION CALLED ALPHA-1 ANTITRYPSIN DEFICIENCY DUE TO THIS IN 2004 I RECEIVED A DOUBLE LUNG TRANSPLANT. I HAVE THREE BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTERS AND I WASN'T PLANNING ON HAVING MORE. BUT TO HAVE INTERCOURSE WITH MY HUSBAND STARTED BEING MORE AND MORE PAINFUL AND I WOULD BLEED LIGHTLY AFTER EACH ENCOUNTER.
MY GYN SAID AFTER CHECKING ME FOR MY ANNUAL PAP SMEAR WITH A VERY SAD FACE THAT MY UTERUS WAS IRREVERSIBLY CLOSED AND THAT i EVEN HAD A SEMI-BROKEN MEMBRANE (LIKE A BRIDGE), AT THE ENTRANCE OF MY UTERUS. BASICALLY THAT I WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO MAKE LOVE TO MY HUSBAND BECAUSE I AM CLOSED AND HE TEARS ME. I'M 56 AND I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT MY CONDITION. SHE SAID IT IS VERY RARE AND AS I SAID IT'S NOT REVERSIBLE.  WHAT IS IT? AND WHAT IS THE NAME?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE...

Hi if you google closed uterus, and read livestrongs page it might help you understand, and like coleyolies86, could be that you would be best without your womb as this would leave you clear the start your sex life back up.
Good Luck

Have you discussed the possibility of a hystorectomy? If the problem is your uterus it would seem logical that removing it would fix the problem. I wish you the best
