Erection During Professional Sports
Dear Sirs/Madams, I am 18 years old and a professional basketball player from African roots. I hit on a sudden growth spurt and I am like 6 feet 11 inches now. The basketball team standard uniform shorts look like underwear on me because of my long legs. Sometimes when jumping and running during game I get really hard down there suddenly. I dont know why. Then it becomes noticeable on clothes and people notice and make comments. I feel bit awkward sometimes and some people I think I am a baddie. Also when I stay in fancy hotels before game I notice so much messy sheets during sleep. Again I dont know why its happening so much. I am from conservative black neighbourhood and strict boarding school and people dont talk about these things openly in my culture. Thats why I came here to talk and ask for advice. How to control these things? Sometimes I dont understand my own body. Thank you sirs & madams.
Basically, it's happening because you're 18, and your hormones are still all fluctuating all the time.
It will stop when your body stops changing.
Are you taking any kind of performance enhancing products? Often, those include testosterone and other hormones, and those might be causing these issues, too.
One thing you might try is masturbating before a game or practice or whatever. That might help your body not get erections as often when it's not ideal for you to get them. Some guys do that before going on a date so that they don't get erections when kissing goodnight or at inappropriate times.
