I find it common for a lot of girls to say they're unsure whether they're having an orgasm or not. Typically, people who have had orgasms say if you have one, you know you have one. Tightening your legs together can stimulate the tissues down there, particularly the clitoris, so this isn't unusual to find pleasure in this. I'm not going to tell you something's wrong, because if you get pleasure doing this, then why not?! I feel it doesn't matter if you reach orgasm or not, pleasure is pleasure. Trying to orgasm often makes it harder to acheive one, generally an orgasm will occur if your more relaxed and not expecting it. Some girls simply don't get orgasms, some do. So if your meant to get there, you will, if not, there's nothing wrong, because that's normal too. Hoped that helped. Best wishes :)

I am not saying the poster below you is giving bad advice, but there is a female health section to this site, and while you did not post this in the wrong section. Asking females specifically would probably be the best way to go.

1) try to put some periods and comas in there next time.

2) No there is nothing wrong with that. What ever "method" works best for you to get feeling down there is fine, no one is going to judge you on how you do "it" and there is no wrong way. On a side note though if you're not getting any feeling you might want to switch up your "method' and if that still doesn't help possibly go see a medical professional.
