It's probably the increased blood flow to the area. This often happens with tooth problems. If your libido is down that's probably because you're bummed about the surgery. I have chronic plantar fasciitis, and just having it is a real downer. So many things you do are affected. Your problem is unfortunate, but it is why surgery isn't usually recommended for it unless it's really severe and won't go away which doesn't leave you much choice.
