Hi Chastina15
Lets just try and work through your times etc.
When did you first have un protected sex? -
How long was it before you took NorLevo?
Have you ever had a period of any kind - cramping, blood spots etc?
You can take NorLevo up to 72 hours after your had unprotected sex. The earlier you take it the better the result. Here is what it says on their website:
''After using Norlevo®, you should use a barrier contraceptive method (condom, spermicidal, cervical cap, diaphragm) for each act of intercourse until the next menstrual period.
Your next menstrual period will come:
Either on time (the most frequent situation)
Or a fewdays earlier
Or 3 to 5 days maximum later ''
If you haven't had your full first period yet - this won't 'kick start' you into getting them straight away. This just means that if you are already having a normal period in a normal cycle of 28 - 30 days, that you may get it later.
If you took it 1 day after unprotected sex the chance of it working is 95%, after 2 days 85% and 58% after day 3. Make sure you don't drink any alcohol whilst taking it as this can cause negative effects as well.
If you want to send me a personal message to disucss, let me know.
:O i took the NorLevo -1 bill which is meant to stop pregnancy but they say it wont be as effective but can still work cause i took it before the 72 hours...
would that increase the chance now?
or i could i still be in danger? :S im so scared and worried! and am i supposed to get my period now that ive taken the bill?
i would see a doctor but i cant get there..mum is very strict and i dont want her to find out! :S please help!
YES, you can still get pregnant. It's unlikely, but it is possible. Always use protection when having sex, even if you have never had your period. At 15, I would make an appointment with your doctor to be looked at. Usually, you should start your period at anywhere from age 10 to 15.. so you are at the tail end. Good luck.
It is unlikely you can get pregnant. If your even the slightest bit unsure - you need to see your GP.
are you sure? is there not even a small chance? :S
and thankyou...
