Severe itching only on arms

I think I may have skin cancer. I have had persistent itching only on my arms for over 3 years now and it comes and goes. This last time started in 07 and is still ongoing every day. I was put on neurontin and fennigan because they think it may be a nerve disorder. I remember it started after contact with the dust from a fire extinguisher and wonder if it may have caused some chemical reaction but I am at a loss. I can't function or sleep through the night and I don't know what else to do.

when you said comes and goes,,, that is already a sign that is not a Skin cancer,,, Skin cancer Grows and are different what you described. there are only 3 types of skin cancer, Melanoma which is the most Aggressive one and 2 carcinomas which are not as aggressive as melanoma, and they do grow and don't disappear like yours,, so keep positive attitude and pray,,,

Hi, you may want to take a look at the related discussions listed alongside your post.  Only your Dr can tell, but unless they've uncovered something, doubt it's skin cancer but I'm not a Dr.
