Sleepy all the time

Recently, and well most of the time, I feel sleepy all the time. My mom is beginning to freak out, she thinks I might be sick, because she says it's not normal to be sleepy and sleep all day. I do have a low metabolism, and I have always say that that is the problem, but I was just wondering if it could be something else...more serious, like my mom thinks.

You probably just need to be more active? i started out that way but it eventually leaded to deppression. So i advise you get up, go out with friends and be distracted that's all. If it makes your mom feel better then go to the doctor and get a blood test to make sure everything's okay.(my mom made me get a blood test and nothing serious was going on so i think you'll be fine) Hope this helps:)

Hi. You and mom should not jump to the worst conclusions just yet. Especially since you are so young, there are a variety of possibilities that are easily treated. Obviously I think you should see your doctor and tell him about the situation. Mention that you heard of something called a sleep study and ask him if he can set one up. This is the way to diagnose if you have Sleep Apnea, which is very treatable. I spent many years feeling totally burnt out and sleepy before I went to a sleep specialist and got diagnosed. Anyway, without any more information, that is the best I can guess at. I hope you take action soon because you should be out there having fun. Take care
