what is being in comma?

Does brain know what is happening around you and you cannot move like u can hear but cannot move???

Hi,
Coma is a profound state of unconsciousness. Such a person fails to react to pain or light and has no voluntary actions.The person may be able to hear but cannot follow any commands.Time is the biggest factor in recovery of these patients.
