awoke to chest pain centered on both lungs

I awoke  2am to chest pain, entire torso above diaphram felt like both lungs and their muscles just went 15 rounds. 50 years old with recent cardiac check out - no plaque "not a likely cardiac patient". slow coltrolled deep breaths and pain went away in about ten minutes. movement helped.
pulse never changed, about 60bpm. marijuana smoker. no cigs ever. light asthma. 1st experience but have been dealing with mild asthma lately.

intercostal muscle spasm - both sides. took some time to figure out, but muscle tenderness is clear. previous days work was ladder, arms

Thank you for responding . A one-time event and totally unique to anything I have felt. During a previous injury five years ago I did have a pulmonary embolism and pleurisy provoked by DVTs from a major knee injury. This was nothing like those so I'm not sure there is an association.

Is this a recurring event or a one-shot deal?  If one time, could it have been an awkward sleep position?  If recurring, be sure to bring to attention of your doc.
