hi
you may not have heard, but there is a newish treatment called bioresonance which was first highlighted by a clinic in croydon called healthvibes, it uses frequency patterns to neutralize the cravings of nicotine. stops people smoking, you already stopped, but the cravings are created by the gum, so would help to dissolve the cravings

Your GP is right.  I mean, what else can you do but cut back?  You're going to have to go through w/d sometime.  No one can avoid it.  Even people who use the gum a short time will go through some sort of w/d simply from the lack of nicotine.  No one is special when it come to quitting whether is the cigs or the NRT's.  You will have cravings and discomfort.  You have to come to grips with that.

You've already concured the actual act of smoking and that's a huge step in itself.  Congratulations on that! :)  Now you have to tell yourself you are ready to leave this crutch behind and just do it!!  There's just no other choice.

Best of luck to you!
