Quitting

i just recently quit smoking about three weeks ago. it was cold turkey. but now i am breaking out in a rash all over my stomach. is it a side affect of quitting?

Hi and congratulations!!  As for the rash, I agree with kathyjo...it could be your body reacting, but I would see your doc just in case.  

I can tell you though, when I've quit smoking in the past, my face will break out for quite some time, then clear up.  You would think the opposite, but I do belive Kathy Jo is right in that our body is so used to the additives that when we stop smoking, our system goes into shock.

First of all, Congratulations : )

As for your rash, there are so many ingredients in a cigarette, 599 approved additives, that it is very possible that your body is reacting to the "loss" of a certain chemical or additive.
If it continues you might want to see a doctor.
