SMOKING AND BM

I WAS DOING REALLY WELL WITH MY SMOKING CESSATION, I STOPPED JANUARY 5, 2010.  THEN I HAD TWO SLIP UPS AND SMOKED 7 CIGS, 3 TH4E FIRST TIME THREW THE PACK AWAY, AND 4 THE LAST SLIP UP.  THIS WAS ABOUT TWO WEEKS AGO.  NOW I AM HAVING INTESTINAL PROBLEMS.  I FEEL AS IF I COULD JUST HAVE THIS HUGE FART I WOULD BE OK.  I ABUSED LAXATIVES IN THE PAST, AND I THINK MY COLON HAS BECOME LAZY, AND I WILL HAVE TO RETRAIN MYSELF.  I WENT TO MY DOCTOR MY PRESSURE IS GOOD 120/78 AND MY BLOODWORK CAME BACK GOOD.  WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THIS SITUATION.  MY STOMACH JUST GROWLS AND GROWLS, I AM AFRAID TO TAKE MORE LAXATIVES, I WAS TAKING MILK OF MAGNESIA,  WHAT WOULD YOU SUGGEST.  I HAVE TRIED GAS X AND THAT HAS HELP THE PAIN MOVES FROM MY LEFT SIDE, TO MY STOMACH.  WHAT WO8ULD YOU SUGGEST.

So sorry to hear that, Angie.  I know that's a painful condition.  Do take good care.  You'll heal much faster now that you quit smoking.

Good luck, Angie and feel better.

Hi Angie, congrats on your quit!  I take it you haven't smoked for two weeks now?  If that's right, good girl.  You're doing great!  Now as far as your intenstinal problems go, I had the same reaction when I quit smoking.  You Must not let yourself take even a puff because it will start the problems all over again.  For me, it took about 2mos for my system to get back to normal.  I had many slips too, and each and every time would set my system right back to constipation.  My suggestion would be to try Senna Vegetable Laxative.  At least that one's a bit natural, but what you must really do to get your system back to normal is not smoke At All.  Not even a puff.  You just have to wait it out.

Good Luck!!
