Last time I only wore it for 1 month I am going to try the same or even less we will see how it goes One day at a time. Yes I do have to look at why I picked up again I couldn't cope with a situation that really I have no control over as in life as well!! Am isolating today I just about had a melt down at safeway I got a whiff of smoke and boom just like that I wanted one.. After that I just was going to start again but  it passed and now I have 5hrs non smoking. I am a non smoker!!

Jade's got a point there. You can try CT and if you are struggling, then slap the patch back on.
The slip is what needs to be dealt with.....clean for 4 months? What could possibly have driven over the edge?
Those are the questions you need to answer. Read those articles at whyquit.com and try to answer why you slipped/fell. You may have to look at your quit in a different way and learn how to deal with the cause(s) a completely new and improved way : )

Suggestion........post every day, no matter how you did or are doing. Read the articles at whyquit.com and really try to understand why you smoke, why you want to quit. Support is so important to the success of your quit so make sure you tell everyone that you are doing it : )

Hey there,

Do you really think you have to go on the patch after only 2wks of smoking?  Why not just think of it as a slip and just stop?  You have 4mos under your belt so like you said, 2wks is really nothing.  Normally, I think the patch is a good thing, but in your case, why draw out this whole quit again with the patch?

If you really feel you have to use it, then that's cool and we are all here for you, but think about just stopping, you may surprise yourself.  Just walk out of the dentist office and tell yourself you are a non-smoker and don't look back :)

Good luck with whatever you choose!
