Recognizing your triggers is a good way to learn just what makes you go back for more. Socializing, stress, most of us have those triggers too, but what makes it more difficult for you is the atmosphere of college living.
You might have to remove yourself from your smoking buddies if possible, if not, you might consider staying away altogether, until you are strong enough. To be honest, it took me a long while before I could expose myself to smokers, but then again, I smoked for 40 years.
The bottom line is that you really have to want this. Educate yourself on the reasons why you do it and what you can do to prevent it and you will have a fighting chance.

You have the right idea and it will be easier now than in 20 or 30 years. Gum and patches work for many and chantix helped me but some people have side effects and can't take it. I have been smoke free for about 10 months and I still take it a few times a week and it was the only thing that helped.
