I quit smoking when i first found out i was pregnant with my first child but starting smoking in the last two months. I put on nearly 30kgs when I quit smoking even with daily exercises. I am afraid of doing that again with my second pregnancy if I quit. I had my first child then fell pregnant 2 months later so it honestly hasn't clicked in yet that I'm pregnant again. Please I need help to quit smoking if u have any ideas?

Learn how you can aid stopping smoking by understanding process of how subconscious beliefs support continued smoking. The subconscious mind is responsible for storing our memory, habits ("when I get upset I smoke a cigarette"), beliefs ("smoking relaxes me") personality and self-image ("when I smoke I look sophisticated").

Because the subconscious mind contains the habit of smoking, it is essential to access this part of the mind. This can be done through relaxation. Once you have accessed the subconscious, it is then possible to change the subconscious program or "thinking" that creates the habit which compels you to smoke. By changing that habit and practising other methods of managing stress, a person can free themselves of a smoking habit forever!

As a fellow smoker I sympathise. Also, you're probably a bit shocked and stunned and need a ciggie!
The best thing you can do, if it's allowed, is to buy an ecig. I used one for a few months and was down to 5 ordinary cigs a day. No weight gain, no pain. They're brilliant but I'm not! have multiple allergies and ended up allergic to it!
If allowed, try one. First for every other ciggie and gradually you find you don't need th real thing.
It's the ritual and habit of opening the pack and lighting up which makes you a bit irritable at first, but nothing like the mad feeling in your head when you suddenly stop.
If you can't have those, see if you can find a good hypnotist. Most people I've heard about say it's brilliant and they have no withdrawal and don't even want to smoke. I think that's my next path.
Hope this has been helpful. good luckx
