Help overcoming thoughts

Hi, I am a teen male and am really anxious about what others think of me. I would like to wear some new clothes that look nice on me but since I think about what others think about me I have not worn this outfit in public.i think that they think that I'm being a copycat or I look bad. Any thoughts as to how to conquer this fear and not worry about others.

Wear what you are normally comfortable with on a daily basis, but try substituting one clothing item such as a belt or socks and see how that goes.  In a few days, try wearing a new shirt, for example, then in a few days wear new pants.  In other words, don't wear a totally new wardrobe all at once but introduce things one at a time.
