i would say it sounds pretty normal but if the cramps r unbarriable then i would say to go to the er abortions aren't something to mess arounld with so manny things can go wrong in recovery! exspeacially if you want to ba able to have kids again! no one knows ur body like you do so i would get it checked..
Abortions can cause many complications and it would be best to see the doctor who did the procedure on you. Though even with the procedure going well, it may have scarred your uterus...
I would think that your experience might be similar to a d&c, so I will give you my input based on my experience with a d&c. I had cramping for about a week after my d&c, and I bled for about 10 days, then nothing for 2 weeks, then bled for a week again. And mine was MUCH heavier than what you describe. I would tend to think that what you are experiencing is common. I would definitely watch for any foul odor or a fever. If you experience either of those, or pain that is just unbearable, I would go to the emergency room. And finally, follow your instinct. Our bodies tell us so much if we would just listen to them. So, if you think something is really wrong, and you are not comfortable with waiting a week to see the dr., then go to the emergency room. Always better to be safe than sorry.
